Inclusion Plus Bangladesh Winners

Inclusion Plus identified over 50 innovative solutions working to improve access to quality financial services in Bangladesh. Five finalists competed at the final event on May 7, 2018, and our judges voted on the winners. See their projects below.

First Place | Granted $50,000 USD

Apon Wellbeing Ltd.

Apon Wellbeing strives for better health and wellbeing of ready-made garment (RMG) workers by increasing workers real income, providing access to health insurance and creating awareness and access to financial services.

Second Place | Granted $25,000 USD

ShopUp

ShopUp, presented by Shopfront Limited, enables social media based micro-businesses to access credit through their appraisal algorithm and network of lending partners.

Third Place | Granted $12,000 USD

Green Delta Insurance

Green Delta Insurance Ltd. (GDIC) is piloting Weather Index Based Agriculture Insurance (WIB), to develop WIB products to mitigate the risks faced by farmers arising from adverse natural calamity.

Fourth Place | Granted $5,000 USD

Shakti Foundation

Shakti Foundation is revolutionizing the microfinance industry by partnering with Bank Asia to provide Agent Banking services to the disadvantaged.
