8 Ways to Measure Financial Health

The Center for Financial Services Innovation (CFSI) has developed eight indicators to measure financial health. They believe that these indicators establish a framework for shifting the financial services industry towards a focus on financial health, in turn a focus on improving consumers’ lives.

CFSI has defined four components of financial health: Spend, Save, Borrow, and Plan. These components mirror your daily financial activities. What you do today in terms of spending, saving, borrowing, and planning either builds towards or detracts from your resilience and ability to pursue opportunities. For each component, CFSI has identified two indicators of financial health. Learn more about each indicator in the report below.
